Course content |
The development of information technology is getting faster and fierce competition is happening in almost every industry. Meanwhile, the needs and desire of customers in each location are becoming increasingly varied. This condition affects companies to improve their business processes continuously in order to meet customer demands and the changes of their desire at competitive prices, perfect timing, and high flexibility. However, providing good quality of goods or services, competitive prices, perfect timing, and high flexibility will be difficult if only pursued by an independent company. This thing that company can do is collaborating with various related parties. It can be started from suppliers as raw material processors, producers who process raw materials into semi-finished materials, distributors network, and transportation companies to deliver products to target markets. This collaboration between various parties builds the concept of "Supply Chain Management". The supply chain is a network of companies that work together to create and deliver the products to the final customers. Supply Chain Management is a systematic and integrated strategic coordination between various business functions within a company and between various companies involved in order to improve the company's long-term performance and also the supply chain as a whole. |
