ABSTRACT

Strict competition in the banking industry in Indonesia is now marked by the growing number of banks both state-owned and private, conventional and sharia, demanding that PT Bank BRISyariah Tbk be able to compete with other banks in order to survive and thrive.
Banking in general makes improvements in product and service innovations that are more diverse for consumers. In this case the support of marketers is very important considering that marketers are vanguard services in the banking industry and are also the spearhead of the company's success in reaching the targeted market share.
However, the improvement efforts made by PT Bank BRISyariah Tbk Surabaya Diponegoro Branch Office (KC) are inversely proportional to the achievement of the financing target of PT Bank BRISyariah Tbk Branch Office (KC) Surabaya Diponegoro which shows unsatisfactory results. The percentage of achievement of the financing target is far from what is stipulated in the Bank Business Plan every year. The decline in percentage of this target was accompanied by a decrease in customer growth in terms of the amount and volume of financing.
This study uses a quantitative approach, and uses a causal analysis that aims to determine the magnitude of the effect or effect of independent variables on changes that occur in the dependent variable. Data collection methods used through preliminary surveys, questionnaires and literature studies. The population in this study were all marketers totaling 38 people from 1 Diponegoro Branch Office (KC) and 6 Sub-Branch Offices. And the population for the performance variable is the direct leadership of each marketer, which consists of 2 branch managers and 6 branch branch leaders.
The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant influence between motivation on performance; initiative on performance; compensation for performance; education & training on performance.
